Bombay Halwa made in Microwave

Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time : 12 minutes
Rest Time : 30 minutes
Serves : 4

Ingredients :
Corn Starch/Flour : 1/2 cup
Sugar : 1.5 cups
Water : 2 cups
Elachi/Green Cardamom : 2 powdered
Cashews : 2 tbsp
Ghee : 2tsp
Food color : 4 drops

Method :

Mix corn starch, water and sugar with no lumps in a microwave safe bowl. Add the food color and mix well. Take a large bowl as the halwa needs room to cook.
Microwave on highest power for 12 minutes, after the first 4 minutes, take out the bowl and mix the halwa and put back to cook. This helps with no forming lumps and even cooking.
Heat 1 tsp ghee in a pan and fry cashews. Use the other tsp of ghee to grease the plate to set the halwa.
Add cashews and cardamom powder and mix into the halwa.
Pour the halwa into the greased plate and let it rest for 30 minutes before cutting it into pieces.
Enjoy this delicious halwa in 2-3 days.
